IOC ready to take away Armstrong's Olympic bronze
LONDON (AP) ? His seven Tour de France titles erased from cycling's record books, Lance Armstrong still holds claim to one piece of sports hardware ? an Olympic medal.
But for how much longer?
The fate of Armstrong's medal will be addressed when the International Olympic Committee executive board meets next week in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Twelve years after Armstrong won bronze in the road time trial at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the IOC wants the medal back after the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency's report of widespread doping by Armstrong and some teammates during his seven Tour de France victories from 1999-2005.
The International Cycling Federation, UCI, recently agreed to strip Armstrong of his seven Tour titles and ban him for life.
The board could decide to strip the medal next week or wait another few weeks until cycling's governing body has officially notified Armstrong of the loss of his Tour titles.
IOC lawyers are studying whether the eight-year statute of limitations applies in this case, an issue that could push back a decision. But the IOC's resolve to revoke the medal and wipe Armstrong from the Olympic records is clear; the only issue is the timing and procedure.
"The board will consider this case," IOC vice president Thomas Bach, a German lawyer who heads the body's doping investigations, told The Associated Press on Friday. "The board is following a zero-tolerance policy on doping."
Craig Reedie, an IOC vice president from Britain, added: "We need to get this one behind us."
The IOC opened a disciplinary case last month after the USADA report detailed widespread doping by Armstrong and his teammates. The report called it the most sophisticated doping program in sports.
WADA and the UCI have annulled all of Armstrong's results since Aug. 1, 1998.
The IOC has an eight-year statute for changing Olympic results, but officials believe the decision by USADA and the cycling body to go back 14 years to disqualify Armstrong should clear the way for them to reach back to 2000.
"I would hope we can deal with it because the evidence (against Armstrong) is overwhelming," Australian IOC executive board member John Coates told The Australian newspaper. "USADA and the UCI went outside the eight-year limit on the basis that the statute simply doesn't apply if you have broken the law, so I imagine our lawyer will see if that applies with us."
Two months after winning his second Tour de France title in 2000, Armstrong took bronze in Sydney behind winner and U.S. Postal Service teammate Vyacheslav Ekimov of Russia and Jan Ullrich of Germany.
The IOC has no plans to reallocate Armstrong's bronze medal to any other rider, just as the UCI decided not to pick winners for the Tour de France titles once held by the American. That means Spanish rider Abraham Olano Manzano, who finished fourth in Sydney, would not be upgraded and the third-place spot would be left vacant in the Olympic records.
In August, the IOC stripped Tyler Hamilton, a former Armstrong teammate, of his time-trial gold medal from the 2004 Athens Olympics after he admitted to doping. In that case, Ekimov was upgraded to the gold.
In a bid to head off any legal disputes, the IOC had considered writing to Armstrong requesting that he give up the Sydney medal on his own. But the committee discarded that idea and is pursuing its own disciplinary action.
The chances of Armstrong voluntarily returning the medal seem remote: He posted a photograph on Twitter last month showing him lying on a couch at his home in Texas with seven framed yellow Tour de France jerseys mounted on the wall.
The UCI, which initially questioned how USADA could skirt the eight-year rule, has not yet formally notified Armstrong of its ruling but is expected to do so in the coming days. After that, Armstrong would have 21 days to appeal. The IOC could wait until that period expires, then revoke his third-place finish on the grounds that Armstrong had accepted his disqualification and should send back the medal.
The IOC is also investigating Levi Leipheimer, a former Armstrong teammate who won the time-trial bronze at the 2008 Beijing Games. The American confessed to doping as part of his testimony against Armstrong in the USADA case.
The IOC is looking into the details of his admitted doping, including when the cheating took place, before moving to strip his medal. Finishing fourth behind Leipheimer in 2008 was Alberto Contador, the Spaniard who was stripped of the 2010 Tour de France title after testing positive for clenbuterol.

WikiLeaks' Assange downplays health concerns
LONDON (Reuters) - WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, holed up in London's Ecuadorian embassy for nearly six months, played down concerns about his health on Thursday, saying he enjoyed being at the centre of the legal and diplomatic storm.
Assange, 41, whose website angered the United States by releasing thousands of secret diplomatic cables, took sanctuary in Ecuador's embassy in June, jumping bail after exhausting appeals in British courts against extradition to Sweden for sexual assault allegations.
Ecuadorian officials have said the former computer hacker is suffering from a chronic lung ailment as a result of his long stay in the embassy.
Dressed in a dark suit and white shirt fastened with silver-coloured cufflinks in the shape of a 'W' and an 'L', Assange showed no outward sign of health problems.
"The confinement, the circumstances are obviously difficult," was all Assange would say when questioned about his health by Reuters.
"I rather enjoy being swept away in the storm of it all. You only live once so it's important that we do something that is meaningful with our time," he said.
He is said to be living a cramped life inside the modest diplomatic mission. He eats mostly take-out food and uses a treadmill to burn off energy and a vitamin D lamp to make up for the lack of sunlight.
The whistleblower said he has used his time at the embassy to focus on his work, including a book "Cypherpunks" in which he warns that the growing amount of personal data we store online could render society a "slave to the internet".
Speaking in a gilt-corniced conference room, accessed via an entrance hall decorated with a beaming portrait of Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa, Assange spoke vehemently about the dangers of cyber-surveillance by governments and private companies.

NEW YORK (AP) ? Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez will miss the next two games with a mild sprain of his right foot.
The Nets said Thursday that X-rays were negative, but the injury could be a concern given Lopez's foot problems last season.
He missed 32 games after breaking that foot in the preseason, and an ankle injury after he returned aggravated the foot injury. Lopez ended up getting limited to just five games before the Nets shut him down.
He is off to a strong start this season, averaging a team-high 18.5 points and 6.8 rebounds while helping the Nets open 10-4 in their first season in Brooklyn.
Lopez will sit out games at Orlando on Friday night and Miami on Saturday.

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 28, 2012 A new study published online in PLOS ONE reveals that primitive human stem cells are resistant to human cytomegalovirus (HCMV), one of the leading prenatal causes of congenital intellectual disability, deafness and deformities worldwide. Researchers from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine found that as stem cells and other primitive cells mature into neurons, they become more susceptible to HCMV, which could allow them to find effective treatments for the virus and to prevent its potentially devastating consequences.
"Previous studies have focused on other species and other cell types, but those studies did not evaluate what the cytomegalovirus does to human brain cells," said Vishwajit Nimgaonkar, M.D., Ph.D., professor of psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and senior author of the report. "This study is the first of its kind, and the first to discover that primitive stem cells are actually resistant to HCMV."
Access to cultured human neurons, necessary to understand the pathogenic effects of HCMV, has been limited by difficulties in growing the brain cells in the laboratory. Yet through human-induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells, researchers were able to overcome this hurdle.
The study authors derived live iPS cells by reprogramming cells called fibroblasts obtained from human skin biopsies. The iPS cells were then induced to mature through several stages into neurons, the primary cells in the brain. The researchers were able to evaluate the patterns of damage caused by HCMV on all these cells.
The research findings suggest:
- Human iPS cells do not permit a full viral replication cycle, suggesting for the first time that these cells can resist CMV infection
- CMV infection distorts iPS cell differentiation into neurons, and that may be a mechanism by which infected babies develop impairments of brain maturation and intellectual ability
- iPS-derived mature neurons are more susceptible to CMV infection and once infected show effects including defective function that have been shown in other animal studies and in other human tissues, and the neurons die a few days after infection lab studies, possibly reflecting the impact of CMV on the human brain
"The findings were quite surprising, but this is only the first in a series of studies on HCMV," added Nimgaonkar. "There is a lot of interest in what we can do to treat the infection, and current work is already underway to screen for new drugs that could be used to fight these viruses."
Between 50 and 80 percent of people in the U.S. have been infected by HCMV by the time they reach 40. Infections are rarely serious, but the virus does not leave the body. CMV is also the most common congenital infection in the U.S., and occurs when a mother contracts CMV during pregnancy and passes the virus to her unborn child. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one of every 150 children is born with CMV infection and one in five of them develops permanent problems, such as intellectual disability, vision and hearing loss, and seizures.
Pitt researchers are collaborating with the Drug Discovery Institute to further understand the cellular system and determine which agents are most effective against HCMV and similar viruses, and which treatments would be safe for human use.

A Dragon Age III Next-Gen Mystery, A Star Wars Theory And Some ...

Editor's Note: The mysterious person known as Superannuation shows up every two weeks like a new paycheck, if you had a job that paid you in gaming rumors and secrets, all sourced to publicly available information.
What was hiding in plain sight this time? Plenty, though in this edition, Superannuation is seeing if the available evidence adds up to, of all things, a next-gen Dragon Age and a multiplayer Star Wars game. You be the judge. The evidence follows:
An EA Shanghai level designer who worked on a vertical slice of Dragon Age III earlier in the year states on his LinkedIn page that the "Scope of the DAIII has been chaged [sic], which will target next gen platform [sic] and will be postpone [sic] to 2014." The claim of the delay is probably a misinterpretation of the rumors of the RPG sequel's delays from fiscal 2013 (before March 31, 2013) to fiscal 2014 (after that date), which was pegged to EA wanting to avoid the rushed development criticisms that dogged Dragon Age II. However, those "development cycle" posits are seemingly not entirely accurate, as the designer says that EA wanted to refocus Dragon Age III from a current-generation title to a marquee next-generation RPG.
Dragon Age III coming to next-generation platforms should not be a surprise to anyone, as EA tellingly excluded any specifics on platforms in the game's September announcement?a way of saying that the intended platforms have not yet been announced.
Last week, Splash Damage, developer of multiplayer-oriented shooters Brink and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, threw up a teaser on its website for what seems to be a project announcement on Thursday, November 29th at 11:29 (GMT?).
Earlier this year, the London-based studio said it was completely moving to free-to-play multiplayer games development and establishing two sister companies?Warchest and Fireteam?to allow the firm to publish and provide online infrastructure for its own games, respectively. The first title from the newly vertically-integrated Splash Damage is a turn-based iOS strategy game Rad Soldiers, which was supposed to be out in June but still is in open beta.
In addition to RAD Soldiers, Splash Damage is developing two other projects?a PC exclusive due out by year end and a console game slated to be released sometime next year, both of which are free-to-play. CEO Paul Wedgwood said Splash Damage's staff is divided with half working on self-funded, self-published endeavors and the other half focused on "a blockbuster [free-to-play] game for a external publisher."
In July, Splash Damage posted a job listing in relation to a "new soon to be disclosed first person shooter" that is "an exciting new IP." Chronologically speaking, this appears to suggest that the PC title apparently due out by year's end is a new IP FPS. Wedgwood spoke rather fondly about the idea of being able to experience different facets of an IP on various platforms, so perhaps this is an FPS complement to the RAD Soldiers universe? Additionally, a sound designer who left Splash Damage last month mentions in his CV work on "Unannounced AAA Franchise Console title" alongside RAD Soldiers and an "Unannounced AAA PC Title," indicating the aforementioned contract title is their free-to-play console game. The bit about a franchise title is perhaps a bit curious considering that a report circulated late last year suggesting the studio just signed a contract with Disney to develop a multiplayer Avengers game utilizing the tech they built for Brink; however, Wedgwood quickly put a kibbosh on such speculation, denying that the company was working with Disney or "building a pop culture IP."
This franchise could very well be a gaming IP, but free-to-play titles for the Western market are often the sort of thing that publishers prefer to handle internally. If you don't take the Wedgwood "pop culture IP" denial at face value, arbitrarily guessing things, the very multiplayer shooty-sounding mysterious XBLA (and presumably PSN as well) title Star Wars First Assault appears to be a good fit for Splash Damage, given the studio's track record of multiplayer shooters. Also, LucasArts already tried to create the multiplayer-oriented Star Wars once before with Slant Six's Star Wars Battlefront Online, which was put on hold because the publisher couldn't find a place for the game in its slate. And should this theory prove to be true, it would mean that Splash Damage would, ironically enough, now be working with (what is now a subsidiary of a subsidiary of) Disney.
Back in May, Phosphor Games Studio posted a job opening for an Unreal Engine 4 programmer that went surprisingly unnoticed. According to the listing, Phosphor is working with Epic's programmers "to develop new features for UE4," and also previously assisted with engineering new features in UE3.
The Chicago-based studio, which has developed Unreal-powered mobile titles like the horror shooter Dark Meadow and Zynga-published adventure Horn as well as some for-hire work, is the second external company to disclose its involvement in helping Epic create Unreal Engine 4. Newcastle's Pitbull Studio, a for-hire firm founded by folks from the now-defunct Midway Newcastle, revealed earlier this year that it was working on UE4 as well as a UE4-based game.
Finally, Jim Charne?a Los Angeles-based games industry attorney whose clients include the likes of Bungie, Ready At Dawn, NaturalMotion, and an assortment of independent developers?filed a trademark registration last month for "CSR Heist." One of those aforementioned clients, NaturalMotion, released the freemium iOS racer CSR Racing this past summer, and this registration likely hints that the developer is prepping some sort of cops-and-robbers-themed followup.

Stephen Colbert on Tuesday took at a look at the so-called fiscal cliff, the end-of-the-year combination of automatic spending cuts and tax increases that will occur if Congress doesn?t strike a deal.
?Obama?s answer to this budget crisis is to raise taxes on the wealthy just because he ran on the ?promise? and ?won the election.? It?s like he?s totally disregarding my ?dismissive finger finger quotes,?? Colbert said.
What?s really scary, Colbert added, is that Republicans might let the President do just that, even though most congressional Republicans have signed Grover Norquist?s anti-tax pledge.
That name is the ?two most terrifying words a Republican can hear other than ?buenos d?as,?? Colbert said.

JFK's last night recalled as key event for Latinos
President John F. Kennedy was supposed to just stop by and wave hello.
Instead a group of eager Latinos persuaded him to come inside and speak to a packed room of Mexican-American civil rights activists. And then he persuaded his wife, first lady Jacqueline Kennedy, to address the crowd in Spanish.
It was Nov. 21, 1963. Hours later, the president was dead, his assassination overshadowing the significance of a speech that can be seen as the birth of the Latino vote, so instrumental in 2012 in helping re-elect the first black president, Barack Obama.
To historians, Kennedy's appearance at the Rice Ballroom in Houston was likely the first time that a president officially acknowledged Latinos as an important voting bloc.
Though there are no plaques marking the historic occasion, the event is a touchstone for activists even if the spot where Kennedy sat and heard a band play Mexican ballads and where the crowd yelled "Viva Kennedy!" is now a refurbished ballroom in a loft apartment complex that often plays host to weddings.
"That evening ... that's where it began," said Ignacio Garcia, author of "Viva Kennedy: Mexican Americans in Search of Camelot" and a history professor at Brigham Young University. "But because very few people know about the meeting, it's like it never happened."
The surprise visit came after Mexican-Americans in Texas, New Mexico, California, Arizona, Illinois and Indiana helped Kennedy win critical swing states in 1960, thanks to an unprecedented voter registration drive in Latino communities. Independent "Viva Kennedy!" clubs sprang up. Sen. Dennis Chavez, D-N.M., and Texas legislator Henry B. Gonzalez of San Antonio, a future congressman, began speaking in Hispanic neighborhoods across the country and positioned themselves as the first recognizable national Latino political figures.
Just as in 2012, Republicans in 1960 did little to woo Latinos to support their presidential candidate, Richard Nixon. Latinos also identified with Kennedy, who was Catholic and Irish-American, a member of an ethnic group that had battled discrimination similar to what Latinos faced in the segregated Southwest.
On Election Day in 1960, Kennedy won 85 percent of the Mexican-American vote.
But during Kennedy's first months in office, Latino leaders expressed dismay that the president had failed to appoint Hispanics in his administration. Chavez even openly criticized Kennedy for his lack of appointments; other leaders embarked on a letter-writing campaign over the slow movement on civil rights.
Sensing another close election in 1964 and hoping to ease tensions, Kennedy visited Texas in November 1963. Advisers suggested that he at least pay a quick visit to Mexican-American activists at a Houston gala sponsored by the League of United Latin American Citizens, then the largest Latino civil rights group in the country.
"The Secret Service told us that he may stop by, but not to advertise it because it wasn't part of his official schedule," said Alexander Arroyos, 76, who was an officer in LULAC at the time. "We could spread it through word of mouth. No one believed us."
Then Kennedy showed up.
The president was greeted at the door by Macario Garcia, who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his service during World War II. Inside the ballroom, Kennedy and the first lady found an enthusiastic crowd of World War II veterans, civil rights advocates and future elected officials.
Kennedy spoke briefly about foreign policy in Latin America and the importance of LULAC. The first lady told the crowd in Spanish that Texas had a deep history with Latinos. The crowd responded with chants of "Viva Kennedy!" A band played a ballad in Spanish as photographers took photos of the Kennedys and Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson and his wife, Lady Bird Johnson.
Before that moment, historians believe that no president had ever acknowledged Latinos as a voting bloc, said Emilio Zamora, a historian at the University of Texas at Austin.
President William Taft, who served from 1909-1913, may have met with a tiny group of Latino activists in El Paso, Texas, Zamora said. President Dwight D. Eisenhower likely shock hands with some Mexican-American voters in a campaign visit to South Texas in 1952. "But I think no president had ever publically thanked Mexican-Americans in that manner," said Zamora.
Fifteen hours after the historic meeting, Kennedy was dead.
Band members who had played for the president the night before wept as the news unfolded. When Arroyos heard about the assassination, he told his boss at an import company he was too upset to work. Arroyos rushed to collect from friends as many photos as possible of Kennedy's visit at the Rice Hotel as he could for a future edition of a LULAC newspaper.
On Election Day 2012, analysts routinely spoke of Latinos finally awakening as a "sleeping giant" by giving Obama around 70 percent of their vote. But Ignacio Garcia said that assessment ignores how Latinos have influenced presidential elections for more than 50 years.
In 1960, for example, their overwhelming backing helped put Texas and New Mexico in Kennedy's column during the tight race against Nixon. The Republican's campaign did not have a presence in Mexican-American neighborhoods and did not have a Spanish language TV ad, unlike Kennedy, who tapped the first lady for it. Kennedy also made promises to appoint Mexican-Americans to his administration.
Johnson enjoyed support from Hispanics who campaigned for him during his landslide victory in 1964, and Mexican-Americans came out strongly for Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, D-N.Y., during the 1968 Democratic primary in California.
In 2000, then-Texas. Gov. George W. Bush, a Republican, was able to edge Democrat Al Gore, thanks in party to receiving about 40 percent of the Latino vote, according to various estimates.
"The Latino vote did not come of age the night Obama was re-elected," said Garcia. "It came of age Nov. 21, 1963."
The reason the Latino vote is attracting attention in 2012 is that Latinos are now the largest minority group in the U.S. and voter participating rates are up, Garcia said.
Voter participation for eligible Latino voters has gone from 3.7 million in 1988 to an estimated 12.5 million in 2012, according to the Pew Hispanic Center. That number could to double within two decades, the center said.
Arroyos said most of the older activists shrug off the pronouncements that Hispanics are finally influencing national elections even though his generation helped give birth to the Latino vote. Still, he said even those who are still alive and remember that Kennedy speech probably don't even know what role they played that eventually led to the voting numbers in 2012.
"I didn't know that evening was so historic," said Arroyos. "I was just happy that he dropped by and just didn't say hi."

Global first: Brit visits all 201 states without flying
A British adventurer has become the first person to travel to all 201 sovereign states in the world without flying, ending his four-year odyssey early Monday when he arrived in South Sudan, the world?s newest nation.
Graham Hughes has used buses, boats, taxis, trains, and his own two feet ? but never an airplane ? to travel 160,000 miles in exactly 1,426 days, spending an average of less than $100 a week.
?I love travel, and I guess my reason for doing it was I wanted to see if this could be done, by one person traveling on a shoestring,? Mr. Hughes tells the Monitor Monday by telephone from Juba, South Sudan?s capital. ?I think I also wanted to show that the world is not some big, scary place, but in fact is full of people who want to help you even if you are a stranger.?

Hughes, 33, set out from his home in Liverpool in northern England on New Year?s Day 2009.
Since then, he has visited all 193 United Nations member states plus Taiwan, Vatican City, Palestine, Kosovo, Western Sahara, and the four home nations of the United Kingdom.
GUINNESS CONFIRMED
Guinness World Records have confirmed that Hughes, who has been filming the trip for a documentary and raising money for a charity called Water Aid, is the first person to achieve this feat without flying.
?The main feeling today is just one of intense gratitude to every person around the world who helped me get here, by giving me a lift, letting me stay on their couch, or pointing me in the right direction,? Hughes said Monday. ?There were times, sitting in a bus station in Cambodia at one in the morning, riding some awful truck over bad roads, when I thought, why am I doing this? But there was always a reason to keep going.?
Highlights were swimming in a lake of jellyfish in the Pacific archipelago of Palau, watching one of NASA?s last Space Shuttle launches, and dancing with the jungle tribes of Papua New Guinea.
?People asked me how I was going to get to Afghanistan or Iraq or North Korea, but they were the easy ones, you don?t even need a visa for Iraq, you just walk across the border from Turkey,? he says.
?The really tough ones were places like Nauru, and the Maldives and the Seychelles, island countries where there were also sometimes pirate threats.?

To cross oceans, Hughes hitched lifts with cargo ships. He spent four days in an open fishing canoe from Senegal to Cape Verde, and was then arrested when he arrived.
Later, officials in the Democratic Republic of Congo jailed him for six days believing he was a spy.
?None of this put me off, it just made me more bloody-minded to succeed,? he says.
DEATH IN THE FAMILY
The hardest point, ?when I just wanted to give up,? he remembers, was after his older sister, Nicola, died from cancer two years ago at the age of 39. Hughes rushed home to see her before she died.
?She told me not to stop the trip, but I was at a real low point. I?d done 184 countries and had only 17 to go and I thought why not leave it there,? he says. The memory of his sister spurred him on, as did the people that he met as he traveled and the money he was raising for Water Aid, which works to bring clean water to people in the developing world.
?If you take everything that you know of the world from the news, it?s all the bad stuff and you get very paranoid that everyone is out to get you,? he says. ?But the most amazing thing to me is that everyone I met looked after me and I didn?t even know them.?
Hughes plans to stay in South Sudan only until Wednesday. But he will not then be flying home.
He says to ?keep in the spirit of the adventure? he will continue through Africa and across Europe by bus and boat, aiming to return home to Liverpool by ferry from Ireland in time for Christmas.
?Someone wrote to me and pointed out that this would be the trip of a lifetime for most people, but for me it?s essentially just the bus home,? he says. After a long rest, he says he will then begin exploring options to continue with a career in film-making.

Powerball jackpot to hit at least $425 million on Wednesday

The Powerball jackpot is set to increase to about $425 million for the next drawing, the largest jackpot ever for the game.
The top prize will be up for grabs Wednesday after there was no winner in Saturday's drawing. The unlucky numbers were 22-32-37-44-50, and the Powerball was 34.
According to The Associated Press, Iowa Lottery spokeswoman Mary Neubauer said the jackpot could go even higher than the estimated $425 million because sales tend to increase in the days before record drawings. Tickets have to be purchased by 8:59 p.m. Wednesday to enter the drawing.
The previous top Powerball prize was $365 million, The AP said, which was won in 2006 by ConAgra Foods Workers in Lincoln, Neb. The Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, Washington D.C. and the US Virgin Islands.
The MegaMillions lottery holds the record for the biggest payout in U.S. history. In June, the prize hit $640 million and the winnings were shared among three ticket holders.

Becoming an electrician starts with getting the right schooling. One can start quite early, even in High School. Many vocational programs in secondary schools have an electrical program. Following High School graduation, one can enter a program at a college to further their learning. Community colleges often have excellent trades program, including electrical. In addition to their typical general education courses like math and English, students will take practical courses where they learn both the science behind the trade and also get to apply and learn new skills in hands-on work. If one desires to learn more about the scientific end of things, they can attend a four year college that offers advanced programs like electrical engineering or similar majors. Community colleges are great because they offer students practical experience.
One can also do some extra work on their own to increase their skills and education. It is a great idea to find an experienced individual who works in the field and get close to them. An experienced worker can offer electrician training in the form of an apprenticeship or might be able to hire a student to work for them. They can also share the pros and cons of the industry, as well as stories from on the job. This will give the young student a better idea of what daily life is like as an electrical worker, and help them decide if this is really the field that they want to devote their life to. Working with a professional can help one meet others in the field and perhaps potential future customers. The pro may also have some suggestions for training programs or courses that the aspiring electrician can take advantage of. They can serve as a reference for the student's resume.
Before one can be successful in industry, they must have to proper education and training. Fortunately, budding electrical workers have many options to help them reach their goals and better themselves.

Speaking of Nikon, the D600 is just right?for dedicated amateur photographers who want a full-frame DSLR but don't want to pay through the nose (the camera plus 24-85mm lens retails for around $2,500). It has all the features you'd want from a higher-end DSLR and a nifty viewfinder which offers 100 percent coverage (unlike many cheaper models).
Panasonic Lumix TS4
While you take most of your pictures with your phone, you get nervous taking it out at the beach or at the pool. One grain of sand or drop of water, and it's "bye?bye, smartphone." That's where the TS4 comes in. Whether you're way into extreme sports or just have kids, a rugged camera like this?is a great thing to have on hand. (Retail price between $200 and $250.)
